The Muppets! I know Jim Henson died but God I loved that show. It seemed like every celebrity in the world made at least one appearance. Piiiiiigs Innnnnn Spaaaaaace! Beeker. The two critics in the booth. Classic. Too bad this thread reminds me of how old I am. :frusty:

Re: Whatever happened to...?

just thought of a toy I had,I think they outlawed them, called click clacks or clackers, anybody remember those? 2 glass balls on the end of a string you banged together,I couldnt find a video of anybody doing them that really knows how,the trick was to get your hand moving up and down real fast and see how many times you could get the balls to hit each other,I'll never forget that sound

Did anyone else in here collect .... gulp.... beanie babies?

I'm guilty of it, thinking I was going to strike gold. I once got smacked with a chair trying to rush into hallmark to get some stupid bear that came out for 5 bucks, that was worth like 500 bucks at the time and is now worth somewhere between jack and shit...

Re: Whatever happened to...?

I'm having too much fun with this... I used to have a bicycle, and I don't know who made it but I cant find a picture to save my life. I think it was either huffy or murray, but it was red and black and had these big white hubcaps covering the spokes... a few other kids had them and I thought it was the coolest thing ever...

also remembrer entertech? They had these commercials "the look, the feel, the sound, so real... entertech" they made waterguns that were battery operated and made electronic gun sounds and they had a feild pack water grenade filler (pictured in the bottom right). We used to fill them with red and blue disappearing ink and play war. Pre-paintball paintball!

dmek, yes Rat Patrol was about group of guys in Jeeps with machine guns on top. Thought I had arrived when Hot Wheels came out. Could buy the minature cars, but
still loved building models.

the wheelie bar commercial is hilarious. I had a lady almost cry while screaming at me because my kid didn't have on proper personal protective equipment while riding her bike at the park... like she knew my kid was going to die or something. times have changed, thats for sure...
