That's true 10% of nothing is nothing... Very creative. My point is not everyone's a boy scout. A guy like Henry is under so much scrutiny for how he looks and acts.... GWB was not:

He does not permit the option of partying hard until you're 40 and then stopping. And as governor, he attacked his predecessor for allowing leniency toward first-time drug users, and pushed a "no tolerance" policy that has sent casual cocaine users -- who's dads aren't rich, or president -- to prison for years. He even has the gall to proclaim that such users "need to know that drug use has consequences." At least if you're from the wrong neighborhood. "

Take a look at that list of what he's been arrested for and tell me you've never been guilty of any of them... Expired registration, pot on your person, above the legal limit driving... even our President has done some of these things.

I just like to caveat what I said about picking up Henry. I am more interested in picking up Pac Man, but would also consider Henry for incentive laden deals and a short leash. That way you can cut them without much of a penalty...

but the first concern is ensuring they are eligible to play. If both or either are suspended, then there isnt a reason to sign them.

Then again I still think Tank Johnson made an impact once he game back after his suspension for the Cowboys.

you dont want an entire team or unbehaved players breaking the law. But one or two that performs exceptionally to makeup for the off the field issues Im ok with. And I know I am the minority. I just think it wouldnt cause that much of a problem for our team.

And someoen made a comment to my posts about the difference between TO and Chad Johnson, and guys like Henry and Pac Man. Whoever it was is completely right, IMO, that theres a big difference between creating issues with the team and law. It almost warrants its own discussion on which is the lesser of the two evils. Most people here tend to say they want no part of either. My vote is whichever makes the team win when they are on the field...

Maybe it's me, but that is worthy of it's own thread instead of burried in one that's months old, SS. I must say, Im surprised the Eagles/Cowboys didn't go after Henry.

You're probably right. I didn't want to start a new one until it was totally confirmed though. I have it set for the latest posts to appear first when I see threads so it doesn't necessarily look buried to me. I understand your point though. Feel free to start a new thread on it.

Well he was waiting trial and even the Boys would not sign someone who may end up in jail. When his case was thrown out the Bangjails hoped on him before he could get arrested again.

Floyd Reese was saying that Commisioner Goodell would go so far as docking team draft picks for signing troubled players that continued to have run ins with the law (after being given the proverbial second chance). I guess that was one of many reasons why we didn't sign Odell Thurman.

That would be great, but it's possible that right now the Cowboys might be saving those picks to trade for John Beck.

The Cowboys have done a background check on Miami quarterback John Beck, but they have not had talks with the Dolphins regarding a potential trade for the 2007 second rounder, according to two sources. According to the sources, the Dolphins contacted the Cowboys - and other teams - about Beck shortly after coming to terms with Pennington. Owner and general manager Jerry Jones has expressed a desire to find a long-term backup to Tony Romo with Brad Johnson turning 40 next month.


LMAO, background check? What does a Cowboy background check entail? Did he kill more then 5 people? Does he still have less then 3 strikes (theres a pun in that sentence)? Is he fast? Does he wear an ankle weight of the electronic variety and if so will it prevent him from coming to practice? I don't know why the hell the Cowboys would do a background check in the first place.
