I've heard him say on more than one once, actually twice, that he won't condone certain negative comments from his supporters..and he called Obama on the carpet this weekend for derogatory comments a radio personality made, who supports Obama, calling McCain a warmonger.

It seems like he's going to keep all the jabs policy and issue related and not impugns anyone's character. That's what I meant by "clean".

He will and should take all the appropriate shots that he can, but I wouldn't expect much mud throwing.
