Re: Kelly Critical of OU After Disappointing 40 Time
Did you watch the Texas A&M or Colorado game when he was throwing tantrums for not getting the ball enough? How about two straight Fiesta bowls in a row where he got injured? This also isn't the first time OU has been bashed over something like this. In a December interview with the Tulsa World, Kelly's father, Moses Kelly, said his son was considering the direction of the OU offense and his use in it as a factor in making his decision. "Is his school going to design more plays to get balls for him, or is he going to run down field the majority of time blocking, which is mostly what he did this season?" Moses Kelly said. "He started off catching more, but as the season went along, he didn't get more than two or three touches a game. If the defense adjusts like that again and they can't get the ball more to him, he has to think about, 'If I stay, what would be the benefit?' " This is from Tulsa World. Its my opinion but I say no thanks to him. If we draft a WR I hope we overlook him and go after someone in later rounds.

![]() I always felt like when given the opportunity he did well, but it seems like there's more to the story than that. Does he seem like another M. Westbrook to you?

Re: Kelly Critical of OU After Disappointing 40 Time
Malcom Kelly shouldn't be blaming the school, and it's medical staff for his bad time, he should have said it was all his fault, and it would have made him look good, and maybe some teams would give him a look from pick 15-20 area, if I were a GM, I wouldn't go after him until the second round.

Re: Kelly Critical of OU After Disappointing 40 Time
Kelly gets second chance to run
Story Highlights
His agent said he bettered his time in the 40-yard dash by more than two-tenths of a second in the workout at the University of Oklahoma. But a news release from OU with numbers compiled from NFL scouts indicated the improvement was only slight. His agent, Chad Speck, said Kelly ran the 40 as fast as 4.46 Wednesday after running a 4.68 on OU's pro day one week ago. But the numbers from the NFL scouts showed Kelly ran the 40 in 4.69 and 4.63, according to a release from OU spokesman Kenny Mossman. Speck said the scouts may have added time to his results to reflect the faster surface he was on Wednesday. "There's nothing that we can do about, if a team decides to adjust it," Speck said. "He ran much faster today." Kelly complained after the workout last week that he had expected to run on the AstroTurf inside Oklahoma's indoor track facility, but was forced instead to run on a softer surface, resulting in the slower time. He has since apologized and thanked OU for setting up the latest workout. Kelly said the workout went well. "Like I said, last week I made a lot of immature decisions going off like that," who complained that the slow time would cost him money, a red flag for NFL teams. He said he spoke with OU coach Bob Stoops for more than an hour and there are no hard feelings. "He told me I never game him any trouble. He just said there's no bad blood between us." Speck dismissed speculation that Kelly's outburst about the first workout would cause his draft stock to fall. Kelly left after the workout for Washington, D.C., to meet with the Washington Redskins, followed by a meeting Thursday with the Dallas Cowboys, then with the San Francisco 49ers Friday.
