Signing Players
Anyone anticipate any problems with signing the players? Not that Snyder is afraid to spend, but when players are drafted farther then what they think their value is, sometimes they argue about their contract and hold out.
With a new coach we need everyone in camp on time. The fact we have two rookie receivers, and a rookie TE playing behind Cooley, they should want to get there early and learn so they can compete for starting spots.

Re: Signing Players
Where you're drafted is where you're payed. Not because you thought you were a first round pick.

Re: Signing Players
I hope Devin doesn't hold out, but it seems like he could have some ammo since pretty much every mock draft had him as a 1st rounder.

Re: Signing Players
If someone comes to the bargaining table saying "In every mock draft I was a 1st rounder" he'd get laughed at. He wasn't the first WR off the board, the first WRs (Avery?) contract will say a lot about DTs.

Re: Signing Players
2nd round picks rarely hold out. And I mean rarely.
They'll all take their 1.5 million per season and get into camp no problem. Don'tcha love that? I said 1.5 million per season. I heart the second round.

Re: Signing Players
Most teams had him as a 1st rounder. Even the Redskins said his was a 1st round talent.

Re: Signing Players
i think u guys are getting confused with the eli manning/rivers trade...i think eli got picked first but went to the giants who drafted rivers a few picks later. i believe manning wanted more money b/c he was a first rounder but the giants wanted to pay him as though he was a later round pick (i think it was fifth?...feel free to correct me anyone)...anyway i don't think these guys have any grounds to base any hold....i mean it'd be straight out stupid if they did.

Re: Signing Players
I like the idea of the whole rookie salary cap that Goddell is interested in. That will help alot of teams who cannot afford to draft in the first round because of their salary cap. It levels the playing field a little. I am loving Cerrato though. We got two players who, according to the mocks, should have been long gone, and we dont have to overpay them!

Re: Signing Players
2nd rounders are very unlikely to be holdouts.

Re: Signing Players
Plus all our guys are all at least 2nd picks of there positions. So if anyone held out it might only be untill the first pick of that position gets signed.
