While I would like to see the death penalty imposed, it may be better to get the convictions this way.
"If convicted of first-degree murder, the suspects’ fate is now sealed. They will receive life in prison without parole, according to state law." Now these guys can suffer for 50+ years in jail with no possibility of parole.
