Honestly I believe he is going to be the starter come opening day. He has the experience and I believe he has the skills. Especially if they are moving Landry back to SS, I think he is the best qualified on our roster to play FS.

Everyone's quick to pencil him in at FS, when he (Schweigert) thinks he's best used at SS. I think Landry played very solidly at the FS spot. But probably gives us the best backup swingman if Landry gets hurt. Fox is on the small side but, I cannot forget how well he played against CAR two seasons ago. He'll find work the day he's let go.

Sean Taylor was one of a kind.

When he ( Scheweigert ) thinks hes best used as SS...? Hes a FS and thats what he wants a chance to compete at.

Both Blache and Schweigert indicated that he's looking to compete at Free Safety. Schweigert even said that he thought Landry was the Strong and he'd compete at Free, though I'm not sure how much of that is a lack of familiarity with the dynamics of the team, though you would think he would have had those sorts of discussions with the coaching staff prior signing. Those post-practice interviews are up on Redskins.com. Wouldn't make much sense to me, but we'll see.

If you caught the post OTA post pratice video on Redskin.com, Stuart stated he had already been here a few days. I would at least think with some common sense that they covered the position he would be competing for before he signed with the club which happens to be the position hes been playing for years FS.

I did go back and watch the video a second time to make sure I heard what I thought I heard the first time.

It also was the first I had heard of LL possibly moving back to SS, either way I'm comfortable with LL in either FS OR SS. And Reed, Stuart, Justin or whoever the best man is (whoever works the hardest in camp/pre-season and earns the spot, no matter what we should end up with really solid depth at the Safety position) for the other Safety position.
