With Gibbs out of the picture who is now the face of the Redskins' franchise?

I think for anyone living outside DC and not really a Skins fan the face of the team is Snyder. They might have a vague clue who plays QB or some other position but they all know that Snyder owns the team. Like it or not, he's the face of the franchise.

I think an argument can be made that the face of the franchise, particularly to the lay fan, is Sean Taylor.

I just dont see the lay fan accepting a dead player as the face of the franchise. I'm not even certain the lay fan remembers ST's name let alone what team he played for. They remember a player was murdered last season but I suspect they have only a hazy recollection of his name.

To be clear, when I say "lay fan" I'm talking more so about NFL fans that aren't diehard Redskins fans. I'm sure any NFL fan still remembers Sean Taylor.

I was definitely thinking the same thing, but I'm gonna label him as the guardian angel of the franchise. So many little things happened on the field after he passed away- random gusts of wind, winning by 21 in our last game against Dallas, and our winning streak just to make the playoffs to name a few- that convinced me he's watching over the team.
