Sure the Eagles need a WR, but so do half the teams in the NFL. Among the list with the Eagles is also, JETS, Cowboys, Dolphins, Colts, Titans, Broncos, Vikings and Falcons. My guess is Jets or Vikings and possibly Bucs. All seem to have some cash and willing to spend it on NOW! No way he ends up a Redskin. We need other positions before star WR at this point.

I was thinking Dolphins and Bucs as well. Boldin is a south florida native (a rabbit chaser from the Glades, a la edgerrin james, santonio holmes, and many others ) and a Seminole. Both of those teams have money to spend and are weak at WR. It would definitely help Pennington to have a fast, big, physical WR to go after his rag-arm passes. I swear that guy couldn't throw through wet toilet paper.

Tennessee is an interesting prospect as well. Call me crazy but I don't see Justin Gage or Roydell Williams as #1 options. The Vikes spent a lot of loot on Jared Allen and Berrian, plus Sidney Rice started emerging at the end of last season.

I don't know if Philly or Dallas make a move at him, but I sure as shit hope not. I highly doubt Dallas will, and Philly could, but they're damn cheap.

This thread would have made sense before draft, but not now. For all of you people that are criticizing the new WRs (see the Devin Thomas thread), the Redskins would have needed to trade for a player like Boldin or Chad Johnson to get a wideout that can contribute right away. Honestly, at this point I don't think the team will and/or can get a veteran of this caliber. If the team were to sign anyone at this point, it would be to fill some back up spots, but that's it.

My guess is philly. They need a #1 receiver and they get to trade Lito Sheppard which they have wanted to do the whole offseason.

I seem to remember somebody holding out until the 11th week of the season in recent years. I forget the name, but I know it happened.

Anyways, I agree that Boldin is probably bluffing. But, you said, "Cardinals will not trade Boldin, no matter how much Boldin wants to be traded." Well, if his desire to be traded exceeds his desire to get paid, then he holds almost all the cards -- all he has to do is holdout into the regular season and AZ will make a move.

NFL radio mentioned they wouldn't be surprised to see the Eagles throw Lito Shepard and a 1st round pick for Boldin. That would be a hard trade for the Cards to turn down. A very good CB and a first round pick for a disgruntled player that even if he played his contract out, chances are you couldn't fit him under the cap.

Horn contacted the Eagles yesterday but so far they've gone on record as saying that their not intrested. Apparently they're waiting for the result of Kevin Curtis sports hernia surgery. This is the same Curtis who got 1,100 yards last year which seems to constantly escape the minds of people including the Eagles front office.

Another funny thing concerning Boldin is that Boldins agent is none other then Drew Rosenhaus. And if you guys remember Roshenhaus does not have a very good relationship with Eagles management.

don't know if the pokes would put that much $ (or have cap room) into another wr, but the thought of him in dallas is scary. They certainly could package some picks as they have good talent across the board.
