The part about the draft not looking so good. Let's face it. Kelly and Thomas were drafted to help us this year. So far it doesn't look very good for this year. When two of your top picks can't get on the field then it doesn't look good. Then when one gets on the field he doesn't look like he belongs. But when I see the kid from Cal having an outstanding camp for Philly, and it looks like he's going to be a real good player it makes me wonder. Did we really take the best guys on the draft board? Or did we just take big WR's who we think will help us in the red zone? I guess time will tell.

I think Fred Davis will no doubt develop into a good player. But the odds that both Kelly and Thomas turn into great contributors are against us. And the odds that they both contribute this year are pretty remote at this point, IMO. Zorn hasn't exactly been tight lipped about his disappointment thus far surrounding those two. You can tell Thomas is just going to take some time to develop. He was junior college transfer to Mich St and only had one good season in the offensively challenged Big 10.
