Wow AFC East just got interesting. Brett's move looks good now.

The whole Afc is wide open right now..Its an even playing field. Hate to see Brady go down though. He's the player you love to hate.

Still speculation at this point without the MRI.

The way his knee buckles is kinda of nasty. It looked really unnatural.

Wow - he was untouchable last year. What a shock.

Re: Tom Brady out for the year

Well I tore my acl and meniscus this summer during a practice game, and I wouldn't wish this injury on my worst enemy. I can tell it really is going to take a full year to be totally back. Every PT session after your surgery hurts worse than when you actually tore the ACL to begin with. You can hear the scar tissue popping as they forcefully bend your swollen knee past what feels possible and you think it is going to explode. So some of you should think about that before you wish an ACL injury on a man you have never met.

Having said that I am happy we won't have to hear about the Patriots all year. And when the Redskins get things going come playoff time, at least we won't have to deal with the Pats

Do they have a backup?

We're about to see what Cassel can do... he was a four year backup to Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart (two Heisman winners) at SC and has been behind Brady for his entire pro career.

They should sign Culpepper. I'm sure he would unretire in a second if he got that job offer.

I think Culpepper is just unemployed, not retired. That is actually a really good idea though.

He retired last week.

The Associated Press: Quarterback Daunte Culpepper retires from NFL
