Re: The NFL Player That You Were Most Impressed With After Week 1
Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco have to get this award. For other positions it is a bit easier to get the hang of the speed of the NFL because the focus is never soely on the shoulders of an outside linebacker or a wide out. Middle linebacker and quarterback are the two most demanding positions for a rookie and Ryan and Flocco both stepped in on terrible football teams and made a positive impact.

did it ever...i watched that game with my brother, a panthers fan, and i was telling him after the game how familiar that looked....seeing a norv coached team blow it at the end. I was impressed with matt forte and the rookie wr last night for the broncos, the kid from VT, he made me happy we didnt go after that bonehead dangelo hall....two personal fouls back to back. Hes a perfect fit out there in oakland.

Im going to go with Brett Farve. Only being with the team three weeks, he learned the offense and didnt make any critical mistakes. Its nice to see a QB pick up a new offense fairly quickly.

Did you hear him after the game? He said that at one point he called the same play two times in a row, he basically said "alright guys same play". Hilarious. |

He knows 75% of their playbook already for only being with the team three weeks. |

The entire Pittsburgh Steelers team. They did a pretty good New England Patriots impression on Sunday. They went to their backup QB early in the 2nd half... Nice to see a team win big with class.

All the guys mentioned looked good. It is my hope that when Kelly takes the field we can say the same about him. The difference is, none of these TEAMS ( That I know of ) are learning a new offensive system. If the rest of the team does not play well, blocking etc., it makes it even harder on the rookies to look good.

Delhomme & McNabb (unfortunately for us) appear to be back.
Turner is a monster. Units that impressed: Chicago's OL, who was much maligned in the off-season HANDLED Indy. Steelers OL Those that didn't impress: Al Saunders offense in STL (LOL)

He impressed me too but I wasn't going to be the first one to admit it.

![]() but I do like Romo,he's an undrafted free agent thats worked hard and went from almost being cut to # 3 qb to where he is now,and he just looks like he's having fun when he plays the game,I like that,I would trade JC for him in a second. And Matty,no I dont think Romo would look as good as he does with our off line, but i think he would look better than JC

Re: The NFL Player That You Were Most Impressed With After Week 1
I'm giving it to Michael "The Burner" Turner and Matt Ryan. I've been waiting all these years to see what Turner could do if he was a featured back in an offense and needless to say he didn't disappoint me in his starting debut. Matt Ryan also did a lot better than most rookie quarterbacks I've seen over the years.
