Exactly. I like how so many here (and elsewhere) are so quick to cast stones without having any idea of the situation. He could have actual mental health issues or it could be nothing or whatever. Athletes owe you nothing, and just because you think you would like nothing more than to spend one day in their shoes does not give you the right to decry them if they don't want to play for whatever reason. Of course if people on a message board were drawing snap conclusions about a Redskin (Sean Taylor) I'm sure no one here would raise a fuss or anything. Just another example of our cultural obsession with celebrity.

SC bringing it as usual. There have been reports for sometime that Young was unhappy and it is very possible he is suffering with clinical depression as a result of the negative scrutiny he has received, or perhaps a million other things. Maybe a friend died. Who knows? But I am stunned by the lack of compassion so many of you seem to have for someone who is suffering, while going through a legitimately tough situation. Mental health is a serious medical issue in this country, a serious drain on productivity at work, and a destroyer of families.

As SC said, maybe it is nothing at all; but let's hold off ruthlessly judging someone else until we have all the facts.
