Re: If the election was held today
Surprised no one has pulled this out yet...
![]() I'm undecided at this point, leaning towards Obama. Even with the banter strewn across the Parking Lot, I really haven't done much research. But it's hard to, being a Registered Republican in a state that is dominated by 2 counties and a independent city. I'll get around to it and make an educated choice. But until then, it'll be swell watching the smear ads, and hearing one call the other a snake in the grass, or whatever banter they throw around.

No, never read anything by him. Any particular book recommendation?

And for the most part we're talking about people here who (even if I don't agree with their political beliefs/opinions) have shown they have pretty good knowledge of the actual issues. (Others here, of course, have shown they should just stick to football). Yet it's like no one even cares anymore about anything but belittling the other side. Hopefully, whoever it is that is elected, the country can rally around the new President and put Country First (couldn't resist )

If you were following Britain's election for Prime Minister, and you participated in a similar poll, would you vote for who you think is worst?

Oh really? Here I was thinking the only people that have America's best interest at heart are Republicans and the Republican party.

Re: If the election was held today
Britian is a bad choice because they are on our side and they want us to be as successful as they and the only real devide was the war but that was the same here. Now lets use another one like Iran. Would you want them to have a strong leader which is hard for us to deal with or a weak leader who is a push over?

So basically, all of our allies (the people who have a vested interest in our country) want Obama. Bottom line, no country polled favored McCain over Obama. Here's the list of countries polled: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Lebanon, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, the Philippines, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, the UAE and the UK. Detailed poll results...

Re: If the election was held today
I think the real question is whether or not all of the Obama supporters actually turn up to vote. I have this idea of all of these college kids being all psyched for Obama and none of them actually putting down the joint long enough to hit the polls. Obama's supporters seem to be a louder, more fervent sort but I'm not sure that is going to translate into a victory. It will definitely be interesting...
EDIT- no insult to Obama supporters, just dealing in stereotypes to make a point. I think if any politician is counting on a "youth movement" to get them elected, they're grasping at straws in this country.

Re: If the election was held today
I believe the polling booth is rigged by Matty because everytime I clicked McCain it switched my vote to Obama.

Re: If the election was held today
It's unnatural that McCain even gets that many votes.
