I might add that when the Broncos did it, they actually went on to win back to back Super Bowls. And then there is the Chargers, who went 14-2 and lost in the first round, but then made it to the AFC Champioship game the next year. |

And TO was not a problem in SF or Philly until things started going bad. So trying to compare him now to back then doesn't work unless things go bad. And while in Dallas he has had a couple of blowups when he felt he wasn't getting the attention he deserves. If they were losing and he was only getting a couple of passes thrown his way I would bet the old TO would show up. As far as what the club is worth, that is the funny thing about Dallas. The reason the franchise was so cheap was because Dallas sucked back then and Dallas has the most fickle fans. I have lived in Dallas for 21 years now and my wife is a Boys fan so we have had season tickets for 18 years. It was funny to see how empty the stadium would be on game day because they were losing. Absolutely no loyalty or team pride here. I remember Jerry Jones donating tickets to just try and get enough attendance to avoid a blackout. It was pitiful. Now that they are doing good, it is the in thing to go to the games. But now that Parcells is gone, Jerry will get things back to normal and that value will fall. They are already having a hard time selling seats in the new stadium with the outlandish prices. Thankfully my wife agrees that it is not worth it and we are not renewing our season tickets in the new stadium. |

I don't think you can make that case, (at least not for long) as "First" pointed out, these are the good times. When things go a little South, TO will be bangin' the local media with tales of ROmo's encounters and GAYness, romantic getaways with Clay Aiken, etc. AND, I do not believe JJ puts much stock in character issues ot the lack thereof. Obviously, Joe and by extension, the Dan do! I believe JZ does as well. -balls in your court

But what gets me is after 3 years of Pro-Bowl performance, and a verified locker room leader and supportive team mate, many Redskins fans cannot acknowledge that Owens "has made a complete turn around in the lifestyle towards the positive" to use your words. Same goes for Tank Johnson, you cannot deny that he "has made a complete turn around in the lifestyle towards the positive" to use your words. And even though it may be early, you could start to lump Pacman in that group as well the ones that "has made a complete turn around in the lifestyle towards the positive" to use your words. So how long is it going to take for you to acknowledge that it does not matter what uniform a man wears on the NFL, they can all "make a complete turn around in the lifestyle towards the positive"? |

Re: Reason Why the Cowboys will Win or Lose
I'm sure PacMan is suddenly a model citizen. Please. It's called Public Relations. I mean, is it really any surprise PacMan hasn't gotten into any trouble since Jerry Jones signed him? Jerry assigned a staff of four, yes FOUR "security agents" (aka babysitters) to follow PacMan everywhere he goes. Jerry's no idiot. He's knows the dude is a scumbag, but assigning 4 large babysitters to monitor his whereabouts and behavior virtually forces him to stay out of trouble.
There's not a single doubt in my mind that when Jerry was meeting with PacMan he said, "we'll take a chance on you, but here's the list of things you have to do..." And on that list, among other things, was cut your dreads, drop the "PacMan" moniker, give a bunch of money to charity, and let 4 babysitters monitor your behavior. Ahhh Jerry Jones and his three ring circus. I hope they implode.

Maybe that is part of the problem, people spending so much of thier time looking at the past, they loose focus of the future. Are you telling me that in Redskins Land, people are not provided a second chance? If that were true, Sean Taylor would have been released as soon as he agreed to that plea deal. The NFL says these guys are allowed to play, so they are. If not in Dallas they would have landed somewhere else. Maybe even in Washington. |

I agree if things start looking sour in Dallas, or even if he gets less than two catches per game for several weeks the TO of old will return.

Re: Reason Why the Cowboys will Win or Lose
Why Will The Redskins Win The Game
1. The Girls are over-confident and are underestimating the Skins. 2. Moss is going to have a huge day against the suspect Dallas secondary. 3. Homo is going to do his best Brett Farve impression and throw the ball up for grabs many times. 4. TO is going to implode and throw a tantrum on the sideline because Homo can't get the ball to him. 5. By the fourth quarter the fans will be booing the girls in blue. Why Will The Redskins Lose The Game 1. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is shutdown and the Redskins plane is denied access to any airport in the Dallas area. 2. The entire Washington Redskins team get the flu. 3. Mars attacks!

I hate to toot my own horn but I did get this one right. 1. The Cowboys and the entire media took the Redskins for granted. 2. Moss had a huge day, 145 yards receiving. 3. Homo didn't throw a lot of interceptions but the one he threw was huge. 4. T.O. imploded in the post game interview, blaming Homo for not throwing the ball to him every time. Marion Barber should be the person complaining. The Cowboys ran 47 passing plays and 11 running plays. Unf#%king believable. T.O. was featured in 23 of the total plays and he bitched about not getting the ball enough. Cry baby! 5. I was wrong about the booing. 4 out of 5 is not bad.
