I always play our next opponent on madden the night before the game. Other than that I just make sure I'm there for my team. oh, and I drink my F#$%in ass off.

I always wear either my T21 jersey or my Cooley jersey, along with my black R redskins hat (the one Joe used to wear). I can never miss a play, if I miss a play I feel like I am downgrading our chances of winning. But yeah that's pretty much it, I keep it simple.

lol im not one to think anything at i do outside the stadium will help our skins win but the people i watch games with are just like you all.

if your outside smoking a cigarette and something good happens you cant come back in until the "mojo" wears off.

if your outside and something bad happens you cant got back out.

countless hours spent determining what jersey will make the skins win.

ive even seen someone not allowed out of the bathroom because good things started happening on the field. now that would suck stuck in the john when the skins are doing things.

i am not a "ritual" believer but others seem to enjoy it so i follow along to a point, i def wouldnt have stayed in the bathroom.

oh actually i do have a weekly ritual, sudden screaming outbursts at the TV with a profane laced tirade using words i didnt even know i knew.

go skins!

I used to do the jersey thing and wear the same one until we lost. Portis, Campbell, Washington etc...

But this year I was out of town with clients for our first game and did not wear any gear. Week two I put on my Skins hoodie with a Skins tee under it and Skins hat, and when I got reay for the game I forgot to start with a jersey. So since then I have been wearing the same things. Also I play Hail to the Redskins on my phone everytime we score just like they do at FedEx.

I'm limited to what I can do here in Japan. Games come on at 2 a.m, and the housing here are pretty much like apartments. I wear my Pro Bowl ST jersey from last year, and I keep my Nerf redskins ball to throw at the wall when I get mad because I can't yell at the T.V or the everyone will get pissed.

Re: REDSKIN RITUALS. What weird things do you do to help the 'Skins kick butt on Sundays???

This is a good thread! Some funny stuff here.

I almost always wear my Sean Taylor jersey and one of my Redskins hats, but I just happened to not have on ANY Redskins attire whatsoever during the New Orleans game (which I was watching alone in my living room), and we won. So since then I haven't worn a single thread of Redskins attire, and we've won every game.

So what will I be wearing tomorrow? My Gator hat, a plain white v-neck T-shirt, and jeans. That's what I've worn every game starting week 2. And that's what I will continue to wear until we lose. HAIL damn it, hail!

Looks like my Redskins attire will be staying the closet for yet another game.

I make sure I hang my Redskins flag outside on my garage, and wear one of my many autographed hats. Like others, I failed on the first week against the Giants and we all know what happened, sorry guys, it is my fault we lost. Last Sunday, after we won, my 14 year old son took our flag and hung it on our nextdoor neighbor's garage, who is a Dallas fan (she was actually at the game in Dallas). Well, she has kept it all week long... I told Nathan he needed to make sure he got it back from her because I would hate for a loss to the Eagles be on HIS shoulders. We haven't seen her all week, but Nathan has the code to her garage opener... he went and got it himself. I just hung it up... so we should be all good today.

Angry, I can't let you take all of the heat. I failed to get my flag hung up, nor was wearing a hat. My wife and I were up in the Poconos for our anniversary, nobody was at the house to get the flag hung up. My wife and I were calling our sons, staying at a nearby friends house, telling them to get over to the house and get that flag up. No-go.

Sorry guys...

Re: REDSKIN RITUALS. What weird things do you do to help the 'Skins kick butt on Sundays???

Ive got kind of a good one, but its recent...

I just got back from SE Asia, where I was for the first 3 games of the season. As soon as I left I realized that I had forgotten to pack my Portis jersey, that I normally wear to all the games. I am REALLY superstitious so I worried for the first month of my trip that I had jinxed us. And after watching the first game against the Giants, I was sure that I had...

So I scoured the better part of SE Asia looking for a Skins jersey (Id have settled for a 1995 Heath Shuler jersey if thats what it took) but there was nothing at all. Finally, getting desperate, I found a shop in Cambodia that advertised custom name and number soccer jerseys. I went in, picked the one that most closely resembled the Skins (incidentally, the Spanish National Team, I think) and ordered myself a Laron Landry soccer jersey...the thing looks ridiculous, but at least it is (sort of) a Skins jersey!

I think we all know what happened for the next three games, and after that Cowboys win I am convinced that it has got to be a magic jersey. So if we keep winning, remember not to make fun of the guy at FedEx with the absurd looking Laron Landry soccer jersey!

Here's me in Cambodia all psyched about my new "jersey"...

Re: REDSKIN RITUALS. What weird things do you do to help the 'Skins kick butt on Sundays???

Here's one that I like. We have started eating a food that represents the opposing teams home city or region. Started by accident with New Orleans, then kept it going. I actually don't think it has anything to do with the team's performance but it is a good way to eat some different meals each Sunday.

New Orleans: Jumbalaya (W)
Arizona: Fajitas (W)
Dallas: Grilled New York Strips (don't care for Texas BBQ and cows, cowboys, pretty close) (W)
Philadelphia: Cheesesteaks (W)

On deck, St. Louis: Toasted Ravioli (?)
