Re: Thomas should be the third wideout
I would like to see JZ call a couple 4 WR sets in obvious running situations and take a couple shots downfield just to keep the D honest.

Re: Thomas should be the third wideout
I would like to see Thomas play to keep defenses from completely overcommitting to defend Santana. Thomas is our only other WR with game breaking speed.

Re: Thomas should be the third wideout
Santana was there last year. Portis has changed his running style and our OF line is better.

Most of those mistakes Thomas made were in one game. Give the guy a break he is a rookie and we need to concentrate on him getting in a rhythm with the offense instead of hoping Kelly comes back because its not looking good. But I guess from what Zorn says we will see after the bye whether or not Kelly will be placed on IR. I also remember Devin Thomas smoking a couple of people but JC went with another option. I think it will all come together by the playoffs. I would really like to see Davis get involved in the offense also. If atleast two of the three (davis, thomas and kelly) can produce by the end of the reg season. We will be looking good.

Our line is having a hard enough time with the pass protection. Now you want to be down a man? Thomas will develop. He'll get more touches as the season goes. Give it time. Last edited by CA_Redskins; 10-16-2008 at 11:17 AM. |
