Re: F... Selling Tickets to the Visiting Team
I am currently in my second year as a season ticket holder (sec 412), and I live in Anchorage, Alaska. My goal is to make it to four games per year, and I try to sell the rest. Last year, I was able to sell three games to fellow redskin fans here in Anchorage that could afford to make the trip. This year, I have had more trouble finding local buyers (mostly due to the economy) and have had to use Stub Hub. I sold my Steelers tickets there just last Tuesday. I looked at the cheapest seats in my section, knocked off ten dollars, and had them sold to someone in VA within four hours. I have no way of knowing who they were cheering for. I can say this though, when I went to the Saints game, I saw probably about half a dozen jerseys out walking around and we weren't even playing them!
When I originally purchased my tickets, I knew there was absolutely no way of being able to go to all of the games, but I was willing to put forth the money so that I could attend those that I wanted to. Last years Dallas game I could have sold my tickets for enough to pay for almost my whole season tickets. I did not. It was my first season and I would not have missed that game for the world! There is now way in the world that I could have afforded to attend such a game without having my season tickets. It is embarassing that there were so many steeler fans in the stands, but just as others have stated before, Redskin fans have the same opportunity as opposing team fans to purchase tickets from people like me are (regrettably) not able to attend, and they did not. I am a long-time lurker here at the Warpath and I apologize to all of the fans here that my first post had to be in this negative thread. But hopefully this if just the first of many other positive ones to come. Hail!! |

I'm not sure that four games is going to happen this year. I think that three is the best that I am going to be able to do. So far this year went to Saints and Browns; ate tickets for Cards and Rams. Dallas is out due to family reasons. Right now toss up between Philly and NY. Also slight possibility of Seattle away, we'll see. |

Re: F... Selling Tickets to the Visiting Team
To all the Redskin fans who don't have season tickets and either did not want to go, or were not able to go to the Skins-Steelers game, it is your fault for all the Steelers fans being at the game, because you did not buy tickets from the ones who do have season tickets and either did not want to go, or were not able to go.

Re: F... Selling Tickets to the Visiting Team
Like most emotional discussions the important question has been overlooked. Nobody has to answer to someone else about what they do with their personal property, and a ticket IS personal property. The question is.. does selling your ticket to opposing fans help the team? Does it take away from homefield advantage and therefore hurt the team? Fans have to answer that individually and to themselves.

Re: F... Selling Tickets to the Visiting Team
Mondays game was a total embarrassment for me and most likely tons of you redskins fans. I was in buffalo visiting my boyfriend (who's a die hard bills fan) and sitting there listening to the broadcasters talk about how "this looks like a steelers home game with all these towels" embarrassing..
i don't blame our loss on the fans tho.. our offense was facing the best defense in the NFL... and we didn't hit any plays right. we got dallas tho |

God bless your daughter Giantone. It's good to know our sins are not passed on to our children and they can overcome the mistakes we've made in life.

Re: F... Selling Tickets to the Visiting Team
We need to ensure this doesn't happen vs the Cowboys, and that it DOES happen against the Ravens...
