F... Selling Tickets to the Visiting Team

Hey! I just recieved an email from the Redskins and.................Apparently, This is how bad Dallas sucks, the visiting team has returned alot of their tickets back to the Redskins. I must say that I've been a season ticket holder since 2002 and this is the first time that I've seen Dallas return some of their tickets. So, if you guys are interested in going to the game just call up the ticket office and ask for tickets.

The tickets that are allocated to the Visiting team are in the lower level (at the visitor tunnel, and the 50 yard line on the visitor side), Obstructed view (quite a few of these are always available), the club, and finally the loge (booth) level.

Two of my friends are now going that weren't going before! Join them! Join them before Cowboy fans do! Be loud! Tell Tony Homo what your REAL thoughts are of him! Make fun of TO! And be sure to jump up everytime you see Campbell throw the deep ball against these "VERY GOOD" rookie corners of the Cowboys!

People are complaining about people selling tickets to visiting fans? How bout somebody write Dan Snyder a letter asking him to give back the millions of dollars stub hub pays for the Redskins to put their logo all over Fed-Ex. The team should buy back season ticket holders tickets for face value if they can not make an event and resell them to other people on the season ticket waiting list. Don't hate the playa, hate the game!

Well why can't the people on the waiting list go to Stub hub and buy the tickets themself?

Some people do this; the problem is that some tickets are a 400% mark up over the original seat cost. A season ticket holder could essentially pay for his season tickets by selling 2 games.

I and others here have all said that we had trouble just selling them at our cost. When we would get to Thursday before the game I would have to sell them on craigslist at a loss. Some people jack up their prices alot but there are also a bunch of tickets for sale at a very small mark up if any.

I bought 2 tickets from stub hub for the Dallas game with no parking pass. Section 101, which is LL 50 Yard Line. The price listed on the 2 tickets themselves was $99.00 or $198.00 for the 2 of them.

I paid 1,130.00 for 2 seats after Taxes and S&H on stub-hub which was actually about $100.00 per ticket less than those who were offering Parking passes as well.

Now my question is do season ticket holders pay face value for the ticket or is that print on the front of the ticket BS?

This is good to know because I just reserved my seats for next season. All I have paid is the reservation fee (100.00 per seat so far). I am under the impression that I pay a fee which is a little over 2 grand for the 1st season on top of the face value for each seat. After the first year I just pay for the face value of my seats...Right?

Disclaimer: I have stated before that my uncle has season tickets and that he sells his every year and buys better seats. Sometimes I attend games with him, but in no way were those season tickets ever actually mine... Just in case somebody tries to pull the old "I thought you already had season tickets" bit.

I have season tickets. Trust me it is only possible to break even if you sell a set one game at a time. Besides the huge games most other tickets fetch less than face. And the reason the big games get so much money? OTHER TEAMS FANS ARE WILLING TO PAY IT. Firstdown had it right. All the people complaining need to be going to stubhub and buying the tickets. Until then, zip it.

Edit. These tickets are listed for $265 to $750 each. When you get the tickets in the mail the cost on the ticket itself is $99. So who is cashing in? Washington Redskins vs New York Giants [11/30/2008] at StubHub!

Your missing the point with my statement. You have to protect the integrity of your venue. If only people on the season ticket waiting list have a shot at the game then opposing team fans can not get them as easy. Stubhub allows any fan to get the tickets and the majority of the time I bet they do go to the visiting team. Was anyone on this board at the Pitt game? Probably not because it was 60-40 Steelers to Redskins. It was quite possibly the lowest point of Fed Ex field history.

So you want the Redskins to buy back season tickets and sell them to the people on the waiting list. My point was that I had season tickets and had trouble selling them at my cost. If all the people on the waiting list wanted tickets they could just as easy go to stubhub and buy them. Jut go and look for yourself Washington Redskins vs New York Giants [11/30/2008] at StubHub! there are 14 pages of tickets for sale Redskins/Giants and if the demand like you said from people on the waiting list then they are not showing it by buying tickets. Don't say they are too expensive because they have them from $65.00 abd up.
