Re: Election Day Thread 2008

And, some live mic Obama:

Quote:
The debates unnerved both candidates. When he was preparing for them during the Democratic primaries, Obama was recorded saying, "I don't consider this to be a good format for me, which makes me more cautious. I often find myself trapped by the questions and thinking to myself, 'You know, this is a stupid question, but let me … answer it.' So when Brian Williams is asking me about what's a personal thing that you've done [that's green], and I say, you know, 'Well, I planted a bunch of trees.' And he says, 'I'm talking about personal.' What I'm thinking in my head is, 'Well, the truth is, Brian, we can't solve global warming because I f---ing changed light bulbs in my house. It's because of something collective'."

We do need a hot chick thread. Just like random hot girls you see post their pics. Not like a bunch of celebrity pics.

Re: Election Day Thread 2008

I was thinking of starting a prediction thread were everyone could predict what they think will happen or change in his first year as president. Then we could pull the thread up a year from now to see who got what right or wrong. I thought of this Tuesday night and thought it would be fun for whoever won the election. What do you guys think or should we wait until January?

Re: Election Day Thread 2008

I for one am glad it's over. I voted for McCain although I was wasn't happy w/ alot of the choices the Republican party made.

Maybe this deserves it's own thread but I can only hope the Obama gets full support and the respect that a president deserves regardless of your vote or political party. It's damn time the US comes together in this fashion and although i didn't vote for him, I respect him greatly and I respect the office of president greatly.

There are those out there in the far left or far right that don't share my views and refuse to respect those elected that may be in a different party. I think that view is one of disrespect to the US. It's their right, but it doesn't make it right.
