LaVar kind of reappeared on the scene here in DC at Sean Taylor's funeral. If you recall, LaVar spoke of rebuilding bridges that had been burned during his divorce from the team. He said all of this with tears in his eyes (which I felt were fake). I never heard where he was close to Sean like the other speakers at his funeral; it just felt weird to me that he was even speaking at all up there. He spoke vaguely and in generalities, not specifics, about his relationship with Sean. I just felt that his entire "speech" was a sham and a fraud. It felt to me like it was a desperate attempt to grab attention by someone who had fallen out of the spotlight.

I feel that this latest episode is an extension of that. He's trying to make himself relevant when he knows he no longer is. The same thing with the restaurant. "If I build a huge restaurant and put my name on it, everyone will want to come here and be my friend." IMO, he has issues; probably in much the same way most NFL players do (at some level), but LaVar has manifested his in a disgusting fashion thus far.

This thread has really gone over board. Ok, I get that people do not like what LA said about Gibbs and I understand that but all the other attacks are getting bad. Most bashing him here for his play on the field used words such as "BEAST" to describe his play on the field. A bunch of people here were ticketed that he was not on the field more often and spoke out against GW and the front office. Now the same people are using the words like OVERATED and such just to bash him some more. Now we have moved it to ST death and how LA felt about ST. Who knows maybe LA has tried to patch thing up with Snyder but maybe Snyder holds the grudge. Its not like we have never seen Snyder do that before.

CPAYNE5 you say you never heard LA say how close he was to ST in his speach but the little part I found it seem as he did.
