Injury report
This is a matter of great concern to me, and maybe you as well,
From Redskins radio today, it is NOT confirmed but expected: Portis-not practicing and out for Sunday Betts-not practicing and out for Sunday Springs-not practicing and out for Sunday Washington-not practicing and out for Sunday Samuels-expected to play hurt-knee

Re: Injury report
They will still get it done, injuries or not. I think the Skins understand what this game means. I expect their best game to date, all three phases.

Re: Injury report
The bottom line is that injuries are a part of the game. We see it every year. That is why in preaseason coaches stress "the best 53". If they have done their jobs then we will win with whoever lines up. I think our players top to bottom are solid and can live up to the "any given sunday rule". Look at the Patriots, they have a slew of their 1st rung players out but they are still on the top of their division. The Steelers beat us with their back up QB. Our team has all the tools plus some, so now they get their chance to shine

Re: Injury report
Damn. Alexander and Cartwright. I don't like the looks of the ground game or the pass protection.

Re: Injury report
This may sound dumb to a lot of people, but given Portis' injury, I'm glad he's not likely to play. A grade 2 MCL sprain is a partial tear. One wrong move and it could tear completely, and then we'd lose him for 6 weeks at least. I'd actually prefer to sit him this week and next week @ Seattle. Bring him back full speed for our home game against the Giants 11/30.
I had a feeling Springs' calf was torn after the Dallas game. No one misses 6 weeks with a calf strain. Good thing we signed Hall I guess.

Re: Injury report
I have faith in Rock. I just hope the o-line plays well. Springs being hurt puts a damper on defending TO but I'm hoping we do some adjustment to mitigate that. I'm sure the Cowboys will be running crossing routes with him all day long because LaRon will be at the top. I'm not to worried about Roy Williams.

Re: Injury report
I say give the ball to the Rock, he can do it the way Brian Mitchell did it a few years ago. He has gotten over 100 yards in game before, can't remember the game but he's done it.

It's disturbing to me that he didn't practice, but unless he hit another setback that the team is not quick to announce to the public, I would still expect to see him play on Sunday. He's been planning to play in this game since Week 7.

Alexander is the better pass blocker of the two and probably should play more downs. But I hope that Rock sees at least as many carries if not more than SA.
