Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys Gameday thread

Anemic. Zorn cannot avoid 3rd down for some reason. How about making a first down every now then on first or second down! Poor play calling and poor execution from the 300 pounders up front is my opinion as to why this game went this way. Oh well, atleast Barber beat us. I'd rather him beat us than have TO score 4TDs like last year.

If we play them in the playoffs they can't talk about that whole "you can't beat a team three times in one year" mumbo-jumbo.

We just breathed life back into Dallas' season. I hope this doesn't wind up like how we revived the Giants' season last year.

Exactly, Dallas was on life support an we could've pulled the plug, but of course we couldn't do that.

Our O Line Sucks!! And Our D-line Sucks. Did We Even Touch Romo? For That Matter Did We Even Touch Barber Before He Made A First Down? Im Still Holding On To Hope. Both Lines Look Like Sorry Ass Chumps!!

Yes. We are starting to see breakdowns on both lines -- Cornelius Griffin and Kedric Golston were eaten alive tonight. Not good for a team that has playoffs on its mind.

To be fair though, this team hasn't had a good pass rush since Bruce Smith.

You're joking right. Bruce Smith was terrible on the Redskins.

He did have a 10 sack season... but yes, when Bruce Smith is the last thing you can point at -- that is a joke.

I guess he wasn't terrible just terribly one dimensional once he got to the Skins.

On the bright side we have a really good secondary.

I imagined Zorn would show a little more passion in the post game conference.

I disagree with bashing Campbell I still think they should give him more freedom use that big arm to get to Moss almost happened tonight, I mean really he should've held on. Zorn has to adjust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just hope we have a winning record at the end of the season. Playoffs are slipping away, and we're in a 3-way tie for the 6th spot in the playoffs (just like last year). I don't see this happening the way we're playing.

I don't think we're out of the playoff picture yet, but we're not going to win too many games scoring 10 points and going 3 and out half the time we have the ball. People are hating on the Def tonite but in all seriousness when you let a team like Dallas control TOP your defense is going to become exhausted pretty quickly. Story would have been different if the offense established consistently long drives that kept Dallas' offense and our defense off the field.

Kudos to Portis playing hurt. The guy wants to win and is not afraid to go out there and try to carry the team on his back. IMHO, he's the best get we've had in the past 5 years not just from a standpoint of being a great running back, but also being a positive influence on the field and in the locker room.

I feel for Jason Campbell. It must suck being him because it seems like every time he drops back to pass he's walking on a mine field in a war zone. The passing game will never develop without protection. It's gotta start with the line.

Can't do much with the line until the end of the year, but for now sit down Jansen and put Heyer back out on the field. I seriously think Jansen has a better future as a commentator than a RT. The O-line is in serious need of a youth movement.

Some of us were saying that long before the April draft, but apparently there were NO offensive linemen worth taking with any of our THREE second round picks.

Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys Gameday thread

I think everyone needs to chill out. The bottom line is the guys are playing hard, we just don't have the horses on offense. Yes we don't sack the qb but this one is on the offense. The guys we drafted have given us not a damn thing. So far all three of them are busts IMO. I don't see anything changing. We're 10 games in and I think everyone can see what type of team we are. Average.

I think we're going to hear this a lot for the rest of the season. LOL.
