Well, it's not all of a sudden they suck. They were good in 2005 and 2006. They were injured last year, which masked the problems...except the only difference between last year's line and this year's line is that Todd Wade isn't on the team, and Pete Kendall and Stephon Heyer have adjusted much better to our new non-Gibbs running scheme. Randy Thomas, meanwhile, has unadjusted. That's the problem, along with the fact that Rabach went from bad against the pass in 2007 to can't-block-anybody type bad in 08.

But the line isn't markedly different (or worse) than it was last year. Samuels is just hurt. That's all.

What do you think about Zorn tweaking the playbook some? Those screen type out patterns are very dangerous and god those roll outs to the weak side are going to get JC killed!!!!!

No reason to nitpick the playcalling. We're getting little to no help for Jason Campbell in the passing game. Even the screens are errant passes.

Getting Campbell away from the interior line is not a bad idea, but I agree that you don't want to cut the field in half too often.
