Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread

If Zorn blames execution again, I'm going to puke. His play calling was predictable and non-varying. They still can't protect Campbell, not unlike the Spurrier era. Zorn has demonstrated his inability to make adjustments almost every game. He has clearly fallen in love with his plan, no matter how flawed, and sticks to it.

I couldn't agree with you more.

Joe Gibbs teams got better in December. JZ team is getting worse.

The team year stated winning late last year because Todd Collins came in and started playing Qb at the 100+ QB rating level [unlike the rest of his career]. The team was inspired by the tragic murder of ST.

I think Zorn deserves to be given his contract to build a winning team. I'll be concerned if we're at this spot next season. This franchise has to make choices at Head Coach and stick with them for better or worse.

I just really wish Zorn would start taking some responsibility for the way this team has been playing. I swear everytime I listen to him it seems like he's blaming everyone but himself.

I don't have access to Zorn's press conferences. I measure a coach by what his team's does on the field, not by his pressie.

I'm very interested to see what Zorn does with certain players after this season. Ruthlessness is something Zorn will need to help get this team better.

Clinton portis is a warrior and played hard and hurt. He is an inspiration to the team and played harder than many on this team.

Clinton Portis is the best weapon on this offense. Without him this offense has no teeth. We need other players of his talent if this offense is to improve.

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread

The season is not over. We didn't learn anything we didn't already know tonight. I feel confident in saying that the Ravens are better than we are. I would have said that coming in. Nobody thought we were ready for an offensive explosion, and if I told you Ed Reed would force two turnovers and we would have to finish the game without Jansen AND Samuels, you probably would not have thought we would have scored an offensive TD. So there's that.

Hopefully, we'll field five guys on the offensive line next week, and we'll get a win in Cincinnati. I'll look at the tape on Thursday on Friday, and see if I have anything to add to this.

Why bother looking at the tape? You just said we didn't learn anything tonight that we already didn't know!!!!!! Why torture yourself again GTripp?? Are you some sort of masochist? You already must be freezing your ass off and buried in snow in Grand Rapids!!!! Why subject yourself to more torture?

Yes I am buried in snow and freezing my ass off!

But I look at the tape so I can learn, and don't have to assume that the front office and coaching staff will put the same sort of effort into game analysis that a lot of people on this site do, and hope for better results.

You can't fault the Skins D for not stopping the Ravens last clock-chewing drive. I mean the Ravens had All World Fullback Le'Ron McClain on their side.

Re: Redskins vs. Ravens game day thread

Does anyone else notice that we tend to give up TDS on the opposing teams opening drive, instantly putting us down 7-0. It seems to happen alot then just when you think we are going to get back into it we give up an 80 yard 6 minute TD drive to ice it. Not blaming the D for the loss just making an observation

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.
