Re: NFL week 14
The way the steelers-cowboys played was the way i was hoping the skins would play them - while i loved watchin the boys lose it was hard watchin them giving the steelers a tough physical game while we bowed out relativlely quietly.
can someone give me a debie-downer? im just not high on optimism right now |

Man oh man. Steve Smith is NICE. Anyone else get jealous watching teams that can score and block?

They score points, we don't. They also turn the ball over far more than us.

As is they could be a Super Bowl contender right now. If Delhomme was just a little less mistake prone, they'd be neck and neck with the Giants record-wise. Crazy how good the NFC South is at home. If Carolina hangs on and wins, it will run their division's overall home record to 24-2. That's absurd.

As usual, I feel that they've underachieved again. Because talent-wise, there might be a team or two in the NFL that's more talented than these guys. Giants, and maybe the Eagles. But they really haven't played any better than we have over the course of the year (until tonight) and had only a two game lead on us in the conference standings that can be explained simply by the fact that they play the AFC West (where they are 3-0). But it looks like tonight they finally put it all together, and if they can win out, or probably 2 out of 3, they will take the NFC South. And they might be dangerous in the playoffs. But I have a tough time thinking they can play three playoffs games without underacheiving in one. That doesn't sound like a John Fox coached football team. However, if the Giants DON'T correct the issues in the trenches that were so prevalent against us and Philly, Carolina will beat them and get homefield advantage in the NFC playoffs.

Re: NFL week 14
300+ yards rushing against Tampa's D. That's downright awesome. 466 yards of offense. Wowwy.

But for every game like this one, you have a 4 INT performance by Delhomme against the Raiders, and for a while in the middle of the year, the running game wasn't productive at all. And I put that on the line. So yeah, they are 10-3, and good for them, but I won't confuse them for Tennessee or Baltimore who go out and beat up their opponents every week. If they did this every week, they could be that team...but they won't.

I wish we would've signed Keydrick Vincent when we had the chance.
