I'm frustrated and not happy about averaging 8 or 9 points/game against these playoff teams. Campbell might be good in the long run, but he seems to be taking steps backward right now.
Be careful if you are going to justify anything by saying it's a win now league. Because that doesn't actually mean anything. 31 teams are going to not win "now", and I wouldn't recommend to them all that they start rebuilding.

Matt Ryan has been the surprise of the year, especially because the guy I saw at BC didn't seem like a can't miss prospect. But I think Atlanta's offense is what you get when you combine an efficient running game with an already established receiving corps, and then allow the QB and the young OL to develop in a fertile environment. I don't think Ryan is Manning-type special, but he does understand the pro game, and as rare as it is for a No. 3 overall QB to come into a great offense from day one, credit the Falcons. That offense was something they started building under Rich McKay, and continued to do with Thomas Dimitroff with the signing of Michael Turner. Joey Harrington and Chris Redman BOTH had career years last year.

We have been trying to do the same thing, but chances are: if you think you need a quarterback, you probably don't have a very good offense.

I would question which game you were watching if you thought Flacco outplayed Campbell though.
