Smoot is a candidate for release in the offseason. If we designate him as a Post June 1 cut, we stand to save $2.0 million on next season's cap.

This is dependent upon DeAngelo Hall and whether we resign him, dependent upon what we do with Springs, and it's also dependent upon Justin Tryon's development. But it's not out of the realm of possibility that we send Smoot packing next year.
