Considering Carter is set to make close to 7M next year, thats 15M - about 1/8th of our 2009 cap - for two DEs who can't rush the passer or stop the run. We would be fools to keep Taylor on the roster next year. Personally, I think Taylor is just trying to get out of his contract here so he can go play for a team he views as being a "contender" in 2009. If we're smart, we'll do exactly what Parcells did last year - hold on to him and hope a team that beleives it is "one player away from a superbowl" makes an offer. I would take a 4th rounder for him and be supremely happy. If not, then we can cut him.

His 1 1/2 sacks are really going to bring the other teams fighting to sign him. Mabe we could even get a few teams fighting for him and throwing draft picks at us to make the deal happen.
