Trample, just using your note as a bounce point; What amazes me, Saden, is that since someone you agree with is now in the drivers seat, everything is cool and kosher. Me, I hope Obama can get the country on its feet, and do so in a way that truly reflects a change of principle and philosophy from the Clinton/Bush legacy of partisan politics-country be d**mnd. What he had done so far is - he has taken his beliefs and pushed forward with his agenda boldly following an election which was as much about Bush's failure and a fresh face in Obama as it was that the country suddenly turned to an extreme liberal agenda.

No, you got it all wrong. I don't like some of the thing in the stimulus but even more so I loath the alternative plan put forth by the GOP. It is retarded. They don't even f'ing understand the domain problem or they do but they're in the "I hope he fails" boat.

The Problem:
1. People are being laid-off.
2. Unemployment climbing.
3. People aren't buying things.
4. Companies aren't making money.
5. Go back to step 1 and repeat.


GOP Solution:
1. Tax cut for people.
2. Tax cut for corporation.
3. Tax cut for small business.
4. Supply side economics will take care of the rest.

I on the other hand point out the insanity of the GOP's counter proposal. There is nothing petty about discussing the awfulness of what's on the table (that goes for some of the awful stuff in the dem's stimulus too). There is something wrong, however, when the GOP is entirely peddling same shit that they peddled back in 2001/2003 and we are in an even worse predicament than we were back in 2001/2003. I'm not saying it's entirely their fault we're in this predicament, there's plenty of blame for that to go around, but come on, f*cking try a little.

are you living in the real world? where im at, we are so lean and mean, all the profits going into the big boys pockets. over the last 5 years, we have enjoyed record return on capital. want to guess what kind of raises i have gotten? 2.1%, 2.2%, 2.2%, 2.1%, and 2.2%. so don't feed me that line of crap about the companies spreading the wealth. same with giving them a corporate break. the jobs that went overseas will never come back. if they get a new break, that just means more of the bottom line/ profit. some of you guys aren't really in touch with what is going on
