I saw one at Royal Farms slam into a SUV last summer. I am assuming the guy was not insured, I am sure whatever he paid to repair that SUV eat up his gas savings.

I know accidents can happen, but if you are careful and obey the laws you should be fine. Plus I live in the country. I pass maybe 3 cars on the way to work and there is a bike lane on the road for 75% of my trip. In the Evenings there is more traffic but again, I have a bike lane until I get to a back road.

And I do pay for the roads with my taxes and what not.
