Scooters are like fat chicks. They are fun to ride but don't let your friends catch you on one. =)

yeah,I thought about getting one too because of my commute when gas was 4 bucks a gallon,but I couldnt get past the dork factor,but i'm sure you look cool riding one

HAHA! I did think about that, but I'll save between $400-500 this year. Thats even if prices don't go up. Lets say gas goes back up to $4.00 a gallon. I dont care about looking like a dork, thats some serious coin.

The biggest reason is my wife and I only have 1 other vehicle. Its a Van and it gets horrible mileage. We needed a second vehicle so she wasn't stuck home with the kids and not have a way to go out. Our finances right now wouldn't allow for another car payment or even insurance to be able to drive it. This was the cheapest, and IMO best option.

I live right outside houston in cypress,I commute everyday to kingwood,80 miles round trip,thats why i considered a scooter but ended up getting a used yamaha v-star classic,and yes it is dangerous,been almost taken out a couple times,people on their damn cell phones
