There's no need for a "holiday" to commemorate it, that's what our anniversary is for. Angry, believe it or not there are women out there who have two feet on the ground.
Not on this side of Montgomery county. I would love to meet one of them.

Yeah, you'll be hard up to find a woman with 2 feet on the ground in any part of MoCo

My wife is in the same boat as Schneed's and LB, she would rather us spend money on things we need or on the kids than on an extravagant evening. Plus it helps that her birthday is at the end of the month and our anniversary is April 1st.

I'm thinking this is what I'll be making tomorrow night: Grilled shrimp and tilapia with a lemon dill cream sauce, baked sweet potatoes with butter and cinnamon, fresh steamed veggies, french baguette, and a bottle (or 2) of pinot grigio.

Re: Valentines Day Plans

So I have the day off today (stuck working tomorrow instead), and I was watching News 4 at midday. They asked viewers to email their opinions on Valentine's Day, and said they would read a few at the end of the show. So I sent my thoughts, and my email was the first one they read!!

"I think Valentine's Day is a contrived Hallmark Holiday designed to get consumers to spend. It's great to express your feelings to your loved one, and you don't need a made up holiday to do so."

You know, I have been thinking there is not a single month that goes by that I do not have to fork out additional cash for something.

Jan-New Years
Feb-Daughter's B-Day and V-Day
Mar-April- Easter
May-Wifes B-Day
June-Son's B-Day
July-Independence day and Daughter's B-Day
August-My Parents Aniversary
September-My Aniversary
Oct-Halloween and Daughter's B-Day
Nov-Turkey Day
Dec-Christmas

OK, so I get one month that doesn't cost me. Whichever month Easter doesn't fall in.

I think it's high time you sell one of those many children for some beer money.
