Re: 2009 Free Agent Signings
Canty's over 300 pounds and even played a little nose tackle for the Cowboys. He's easily capable of moving inside if need be. Besides with guys like Canty you don't look at sacks. A lot of pass rush problems came from guys like Romo who can step up in the pocket and in the end not have to throw over anyone. Haynesworth 8.5 sacks is an annominly and more of an exception then the rule.

Re: 2009 Free Agent Signings
Chris Canty then Willis and Dock. Thats a nice crop of free agents. With those guys on board you won't hear any objections from me about non-line picks come draft day.

Hall Re-Signs With Skins
Friday, February 27, 2009 Posted By Mike Florio 12:20 AM A league source tells ProFootballTalk.com that cornerback DeAngelo Hall has agreed to terms to remain with the Redskins. Per the source, it's a six-year, $54 million contract, with $22.5 million in guaranteed money. It's the second big contract in less than a year for Hall, who was traded last March to the Raiders and inked a long-term deal. The Raiders eventually cut him, paying out $8 million for only eight games. |

I love how theESPN ticker says John Clayton breaks the news about D.Hall five minutes after it's posted on this board.

Edit: funny side note there are as of now 3 open DeAngelo Hall threads dedicated specifically to his signing.

Re: 2009 Free Agent Signings
I just caught the Hall signing deal 6 year/54 mil. All though I'm glad to have him, they overpaid for his services IMO.
Springs is going bye bye, I would have to guess.

Re: 2009 Free Agent Signings
Rogers needs to shut up and play well next season since it's his contract year. I think Springs will be another Marcus Washington situation.

Re: 2009 Free Agent Signings
So a big deal for Hall means no Haynesworth? I kinda hope so. Bring on Canty, we get a good player and the satisfaction of taking a good player away from the Cowpukes.
