Going by his presser I'm not worried about him slacking off.

I guess I'm wondering what player says at his presser that since he's been paid he's gonna start slacking off. These players know what to say and how much the fans cant wait to lap it up. I hope AH works out better that Stubby. I think it can happen but time will tell.

I'm just going by his attitude and the way he presented himself overall. He seems to be very aware of the kind of player he is and someone that has learned from his past mistakes. And he seems to be motivated to be a great player for reasons other than just a big paycheck. I could be totally wrong of course, that was just my impression of him as a person. He seems to have his head on straight and his priorities in order.

I agree that he made a good impression but thats all it is, an impression. He knows what to say and what the fans want to hear. Its impossible to tell if his head is on straight and whether he'll play for that big check. Time will tell.

he said all the right things and handled it very well, so that's good... but talk is cheap. we'll have to wait for the season to see how it plays out on the field.

edit: I'm not saying i think he's going to shut it down, just that, at this point, it's a bad argument on both sides since there's nothing factual to judge him by... yet.

I agree that his presser was a real quality appearance.
He listed out goals above just getting paid; like being seen as a HOF caliber DT, making his opponents know every gameday that he is the best they face.

I also know I can't wait to see him suit up and slam Romo to the ground.

I too was impressed with Haynesworth's presser. Boy, is the NFC East going to be nasty once again this year.

LOL. Oh hindsight, how you make me laugh. I'm not trying to beat the dead horse here, I was just looking for some comic relief about how wrong we all were about Haynesworth. And oh how I found it.

From now on I will take an unsupportive approach of whatever free agents we sign, especially those lacking in character, or w/e other reason, until they prove on the field that they are worth all the money the Redskins pay them. I'm completely sure in future years everybody in the NFL will regard the Haynesworth signing as along the exact same lines of Bruce Smith, Mark Carrier, Deion Sanders signings of a decade ago.
