Hey 53. I actually had Marcus in mind when I started this thread. I tend to think the FO will want to really solidify the o-line this year w/ Samuels aging and suffering the injury last year and Jansen/Heyer as our only two other real NFL tackles. (I'm guessing we take any one of the top 4 OTs left @ 13) So LB will probably not be addressed until the 3rd round and we need someone who can step right into the system. Bringing Marcus back makes sense to me but who knows if either side would go for it.

... one thing i don't understand is why we continued to play Marcus @ SLB where he got stuck in coverage way more that Rocky it seemed and coverage is now his real downside w/ the hip/hamstrings. I think we'd see better success if the two had swapped and maybe Marcus would have been less prone to injury. Who knows...
but i would like to see him back.

I agree and think it would make sense. I don't know if he would come back or not. I have a feeling the Saints will be giving him a call.

I hate to harp on this but the Giants just got 3 excellent players for what we paid for one and could have filled 3 holes (sounds dirty with them)

I'm glad some sense is being restored to the board. I couldn't agree more.

We've gambled enough with our shallow depth in the past that Haynesworth had to be someone else's solitary gamble, not ours. We can't afford to sacrifice our depth, draft picks and multiple free agents, for a gamble on a sole player.


I know I have to suck it up because the trigger has been pulled but I'd still like to gripe so the record can reflect my dissension.

Boley doesn't really scare me. I thought he might be someone we should look at but when I did some checking he's extremely light (about 220lb) for a LB. Portis or Betts will mop the f'ing turf w/ his jersey.

I don't think they got 3 EXCELLENT players; Boley is ok(minus beating his wife) Canty is very good but Dallas didnt try and keep him. And the Giants only added to their strongest part of the team.

IF our FO did this same thing many here would be complaining that we didn't address areas of needs. And Boley's character would have been a huge issue. And Canty is a 3-4 that doesn't fit. Etc Etc

Maybe their d-line will play offensive line and Canty can replace Plax at WR.

Time will tell, won't it? What do you think Bobby Beathard would have done? Sign a single player or plug the holes were you need them? I say plug the holes.
