They haven't done squat to help the offense* (which was the problem last year btw...) so we need a good punter. Hell at this point, I would say he would be the team MVP next year. We need an advantage for those 13-10 games that we are going to see every week.

* Sorry that I don't think Dockery is going to magically turn into the next Larry Allen now that he is back. In fact, I vividly remember our goal line offense struggling big time in his first go around.

Other than pursuing every option we can to see if it will improve our offensive line, i dont think we need to do that much to our offense. Thomas, Davis, and Kelly should all be improved in their 2nd year. One would hope Campbell would be more comfortable in the system and everyone on our offense (including coaches) should be improved in their 2nd season. Yes, players didnt play up to expectations last year, but Zorn was horrible at playcalling. Our offense should be improved somewhat simply by the fact that everyone will have been in the system a full year.

We did alot to help our offense last year, while we neglected our defense. It makes sense to be focusing our efforts on our defense now.

Now that we have cap space, I think we need to resign Evans and investigate resigning Washington for a cheap deal. I'd even talk to Springs and see what it wouuld take to bring him back to play free safety. There are no OTs out there worth signing, so unless Heyer looks like a stud, we may be locked into signing one with our first round pick.

Willis at least started games for an NFL team last year. Just having him on our team would provide depth on our OL.

We can't be picky about how he's not a former 1st round pick at this point. We are in dire need of depth on OL. If he can start for the Seahawks then he certainly can help our offense out.

Willis started games but so did Heyer and so did Jansen. Starting games doesnt mean anything. Theres tons of players in this league who have "started games."

Nothing i have seen or read about Willis gives even the slightest inkling he would be an upgrade over what we have. We don't need depth at OT. We need a starter. We can only carry so many OTs on our roster and if we add someone, it needs to be someone who provides a clear upgrade at the position. Willis is just another teams Stephon Heyer. Nothing more, nothing less. We don't need another backup.

As long as we can keep Justin Geseling from blocking Terrell Suggs late in the season then it's fine with me. I'll take anybody over that guy.

Jansen is through so he can't even be counted as an OT. The Skins don't even want this guy to touch the field.

Thats an exaggeration in some post article (and I thought I was the only one who liked to exaggerate facts to prove a point). If they didnt think he was a capable backup, he'd be cut - We actually have the cap space to do it now. If we get rid of Jansen, then by all means, we should bring Willis in, but as of right now, we need to find someone who is an upgrade over Heyer and Jansen, if possible. If not, we need to hope Oher falls to us in the draft.

Seeing as how Jason Fabini started three games at RT, I would say depth should be a priority.

Heyer and Jansen ARE the depth.

How many tackles do you think a team can carry on a 53 man roster? Unless your answer is 5, we only have room for one more OT. And unless you wholeheartedly beleive that Jansen or Heyer will be solid at RT all year, then we have no reason to bring in any "depth." We need to bring in a starter.

I'm actually read that Willis was planning on taking over at RT for the Hawks at the end of the season anyway because he's played so well. There seems to be some pretty good compliments on him coming from some execs around the league. I'll need to find the link...

Well, Seattle's RT is Locklear, and he's their best offensive lineman and it was his injury that made room for Willis to show his stuff.

If Seattle thought Willis was in any way able to handle LT, they'd be scrambling to keep him given the age of Walter Jones. The fact that he's out there on the market means they think he's RT material.

Willis is talked of being a legit starter at RT. I haven't heard that said of Heyer.
