Heyer is supposed to be a RT and he's never had significant playing time there since his rookie season... when he impressed. Weve never heard anything from people within redskins park indicating they didnt think Heyer was not a starting caliber RT. We have some in the organizaiton who think he can be. others have doubts, but no one has indicated theres no way hes a starting RT - so how in the world did you reach that conclusion?

I tend to agree with this. Most players don't play as well out of position and Heyer is no exception. His best position is RT. In a recent interview Buges said Heyer can be as good as he wants to be. He also said he had come a long way since he first got here and had trouble adjusting to his own size at first. I don't know if he had a late growth spurt or what but that's what he said. I think he deserves a shot. I still see nothing wrong with taking a quality OT in the draft. If Heyer is not as good as the rookie he is still a valuable back up.
