Re: Andre Smith..Would You Take Him At 13?
The FO have said repeatedly they are putting more emphasis on the interviews so I would say that I wouldn't expect them to draft A Smith bc everyone has said his interviews were terrible, but you never know what they're really going to do.

Pro day is important but so is the combine. Why even show up if you're going to give a half-ass effort? It just doesn't reflect someone who is motivated. How motivated will he be when he gets a fat paycheck?

I've already said my piece on Smith. After watching those Oher and Smith clips I thought to myself, "those guys suck!"
Just in case you missed it the first time around, (Thanks 53) here's a real line man. |

Re: Andre Smith..Would You Take Him At 13?
Smith's college career seemed pretty stellar and i like he didn't seem to get injured. If there was a deal to trade down i would jump at it though. If not and Smith is available grab him, take advantage of him falling either way.

Re: Andre Smith..Would You Take Him At 13?
One thing is for sure, is that he had the talent to start and play at a high level at Alabama, which is FOOTBALL school. If I were GM, I'd have my reservations about drafting him because of his lack of preparation but he could be very good given a stiff kick in the ass. Ideally, he'd play to the level of one of the Andrews boys (Philly). He could be a road grater, clearing running lanes left and right.
I'm just wary picking him with the 13th pick since we have so few picks this year and have so many holes to fill. |
