Looking for Advice from Season Ticket Holders

It's hard for anone who is not afraid of heights to really tell you what to do. I was on the waiting list for a really long time...I finally got my seats in 2004 after waiting like 20 years. I started up at the top and had no issue with it, but I am not afraid of heights. I can tell you that in only 5 years I am all the way down to row 10 of the upper deck which is really only a few steps up the upper deck.

I get offered that same club level upgrade they are offering you every season. They will say anything to get you to sign a club level contract and they do offer lower level seats to you after a few years of club level...I would believe that as long as it were in writing. The redskins ticket office is very disorganized and scatterbrained...I would not take their word for anything...I would want it in the club level contract. Really this comes down to how much money you have...because you are basically buying your way down to lower seats without having to wait in line. If you have that kind of disposable cash then go for it.

If your just going to sell the tickets on stub hub I'd pass on the season tickets and just buy better seats to a few games each year. I had upper level tickets and you will loose money trying to sell them unless we are having a very good season. Remember you have other cost like taxes, fee's, and you also have to buy preseason tickets at the same price as regular season tickets. I found that I'd have to sell them at $100 per ticket to break even and there are a bunch of people selling them for less. Yea, they might ask more at first but they tend to drop their prices as the season get closer. I had to sell a few on craigs list for just about nothing for a game or two I could not go to and I was not the only one selling tickets on craigs list. It might even be harder living in the are as people will just go to the game and pick up cheap tickets at the last moment. You will find people here who say they will buy some tickets from you but I found no buyers when I posted them here for sale.

Very true...Redskins season tickets are not money makers. Only game conistently worth more then face is Dallas but what season ticket holder wants to sell the dallas game. I go to most of the games so I don't have that much trouble but the most frustrating part of trying to sell a game to me is that the non season ticket holder does not understand the price differences in the upper deck. Row 15 and down is priced higher then row 16 and up...so non ticketholders think they are getting a bargain buying row 20 when in reality the owner of row 20 is making more profit then the guy in row 12 just trying to get his money back. I had a much easier time selling my extra tickets when i was in row 25 then I do now in row 10.

First off, upper deck rules when its only for a year or two. You're just to darn excited when you become a season ticket holder that you just don't care where your seats are. But, the experience you get on the lower level really is second to none. For instance, back in 2005 when we played the Cowboys......Terry Glenn had been shut out until the 3rd quarter. He caught a little screen pass then went running down the sideline. Sean Taylor squared his shoulders up then WHAM! I heard that "pop" all the way in my seats! Or when you see Andre Carter slam the offensive tackle then haul ass for John Kitna...............Kitna just laid down and took that safety. Andre would have killed him if he didn't lay down. The experience you get from being down close can't be compared to the upper level or even the club level.

I moved down to the lower level after just one year. I became a member of the tailgate club to do it................................it was VERY expensive for that one year, because I had to make "down payments" on the tailgate club. Its a one time thing and.................IT WAS WORTH IT MAN!!! Not only do you get a all you can eat barbecue, you get to see a cheerleader performance, meet some Redskins Alumni...................Dexter Manley was my favorite player growing up. I saw him a few times there and he signed a football and a jersey for me. It was great to be FINALLY getting his autograph! Charley Taylor has been there and he stood up on the stage and said a few things then offered to answer any questions we had. It was kind of weird, because we were basically interviewing him ourselves. A bunch of other Redskin greats have been there..................Anyways, once the game ends you get to go to the club level and join in on the 5th quarter party! The party ends when Danny Boy wants it to. Sometimes that will be 5 hours after the game!

So what I'm saying is I recommend that you inquire about the tailgate club and see if they won't move you down to the lowerbowl sooner. Its expensive, but not as expensive as club seats. And if you got money..........................IT IS WORTH IT MAN!

Hey dmek, the answer would have been HECK YES! last year, but I...................couldn't re-up them man. The tickets just got to darn expensive for me. I mean, they rose in price almost one thousand bucks in just four years. I couldn't keep pace with that. 40+ year season ticket holder here, just adding to what's already been said.

The last row of the upper deck at FedEx will not be a pleasant experience if you are afraid of heights. Don't look behind you at the surrounding countryside. Some of the birds will be flying lower than you are seated.

I did not like my upper deck seat when I had them (3rd row). I found them too far away from the on-field action, compared to old RFK, and I couldn't hear the Redskin band.

The problem was the Plaza Level (Sec 300s) seats. Those seats are for businesses that could write off the expense. They are a venue for customer entertainment. You get restricted access, a higher quality of overpriced food, a cigar bar, HDTVs everywhere so that you can watch the game from the comfort of a lounge chair. The Cheerleaders entertain on that level after the games.

If you want to do that, why not watch from home, or your favorite sports bar.

The Redskins, of course, hope that you never leave the Plaza level. So, if they're offering a 50% discount for the first year, ask for a discount on the second year, too. See what happens.

Any unobstructed seat in the lower bowl (Sec 100s) is great. It should be at $99 per seat per game.

But do understand, big screen TVs are priced down around a season ticket package and you don't have to buy a new TV every season.

FedEx is large enough to accommodate all comers, so tix can be had for any game through StubHub or the scalpers on the parking lot on game day.

Out of curiosity, I checked StubHub for the price of the Eagles game on Wednesday prior. Someone was offering two lower level seats on the 40 yard line somewhere between the 15th & 20th row. Asking price: $120 each.

That was a premium over face value, but not much of one. You can get tickets for the game you want to go to and avoid having to pay for stupid preseason games.
