That's good news. Interesting Art Monk comparison ... don't know if I agree with it ... I wonder if that's Gibbs' opinion or the writer's. In any case, McCants seems like a core Redskin and I'm glad they're trying to sign him for the long-term.

I agree. I freakin love this dude. Were looking so stacked at Wide-Out, especially if Jacobs is working out for us, like we have heard over the past few days(reffering to his minicamp performance). If we can have four capable recivers, its always a good thing.

Awesome!
Awesome news! I think that every team could use a big, talented, and enthusiastic guy like McCants. I can see him becoming a very solid contributer.
How much do you think McCants new contract will be worth? |

Glad to see it, another move in the direction of the attitude adjustment this team is taking ,while I don't agree with the monk comparison, I like him better than gardner, MCant's has a great pair of hand's, where as gardner drop's as many as he catches, Gibb's probabaly saw tape and heard about the countless idiotic penalties gardner get's flagged for and decieded not to let gardner burn him.

This is true. In one of the mini camp pictures, he was talking to him.

I'm glad we re-signed him. He was our main go to guy in the red zone last season!! The article doesn't give the terms though, only that he'll be back next season. Hope we did get him on a long term contract though. He makes the catches we really need him to make!!!!!

He really frustrated me back a couple years ago when he first started to get some playing time. He had a few untimely penalties called against him.

I have a real good feeling about this signing, McCant's is a guy who will really fit in nicely in all aspect's of our team. And who know's with a long term contract he might get vivica back.

3-year deal
George Michaels reported that McCants new contract is 3-years and worth between $5 and $6 million with a $2 million signing bonus.
Nice contract :headbange |

The word was that he had to wait until 4PM before he could be signed and the Thrash deal could be completed because the Skins needed to make some cap room... So, who got cut?
