If I'm 25 miles off shore fishing and my boat sinks how long could a survive from hypothermia? I'm around 5'10" weigh 185 and water temp around 60.

The more effort that you exert the quicker you will lose heat, this includes treading water, etc.. the body will lose heat something like 30 times faster in water than by surrounding air, so preserving your body heat would be a key towards longtime survival and trying to stave off hypothermia I guess I didn't fully answer your question but there are too many variables |
