We're a self hating team that values all players on other teams above our own players?

Seriously, there's no need to type in caps. If you want to be taken seriously, all you have to do is make sense when you post. It's not that hard.

Cutler also had a much better O-line, a better receiving corps with a pro-bowler who happens to be taller than 5'9", not to mention a defense that was so bad they were throwing like crazy to catch up in games.

I don't have the exact stats in front of me, but Campbell was sacked like 3x more than Cutler. I wonder what Jason's numbers and our record would have looked like if you flipped those stats.

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago

The scariest thing about this whole potential trade to me is the difference in opinion/value around the league between Cutler and Campbell. That we couldn't even get a 2nd round pick for JC is very odd and that they put Cutler's value at 2 #1's and a 3rd plus a QB is even more strange? Cutler may be a bit better than JC but is he really that much better?... or is the FO correct in assessing that JC is not the man and is just an average QB justified by the rest of the league as maybe a 3rd round value?
Im glad we didnt' overpay for Cutler and I am perfectly happy that JC hopefully will be our QB for the future. Not too mention he is a class act who has never been anything other than a professional by all means. Now if we can just block for him, catch some passes for him, and hope he gets rid of the ball faster this year! Good luck Jason

Here's the thing, you should never underestimating the ability of football execs to misevaluate talent on other teams.

They're pretty close in skill. If you made me pick one, I'd take Cutler, but that's not the point. The point is, if you have the undervalued QB, you dont just naturally assume your assessment is wrong, you hold on and try to win with him.

The Redskins failed miserably at this today.

If anyone on this fourm didn't gain respect for Campbell today, not only do they lack football sense, they also don't understand human behavior. I always respected Jason Campbell the QB, but now, I have the utmost respect for Jason Campbell the human being.

No question. I said it earlier and I'll say it again- Cutler could learn a lot about how to handle adversity from Jason. I'm proud that our team leader handles himself with such character. Hell, Danny Boy could learn a lot from JC's stand up attitude.

I'm so relieved it's not even funny. I was in an AWFUL mood until a little after 5pm today.

Re: It's Over: Cutler Going to Chicago

Let me come in with a late "Thank god the bears saved us from ourselves."

I was out coaching a youth football practice so I wasn't able to revel in a team out-dumbing the Skins FO. I think the bears gave up way too much for Cutler. Josh McDaniels must be loving it though because he has the very thing he needs to build a team the way he wants...kudos to him.

McDaniels is young and he's managed to walk away with maximum value for someone he wanted to discard. Talk about turning lemons into lemonade. This guy is in his 30's and should be considered a genius just for making teams clamour over a product like Cutler, a QB that was going to be a problem for him.

Hats off to people who actually know what they are doing.

Now looking back on this, as I said earlier, I feel that this was a Snyder tantrum, which Zorn and possibly VC had to go through. I'm glad that it is over, but looking at this from a different perspective, how 'bout that Denver front office? A good friend of mine is a huge Broncos fan and he's in shambles right now. He feels that McDaniels is destroying the franchise.

They got more than Cutler's worth in terms of draft picks, but if they go and waste those picks, then they would probably have just been better off with Cutler.
