Britton: He has very short arms. Not a good thing for an OT. Other than that, there's a lot to like about him. I wonder if he won't end up at Guard.
He possibly has the best combination of smarts and quickness of any tackle in this draft. Doesn't matter how short his arms are, because he's quick enough to get his hands into your body before you have a chance to get a hold of him.

I typically shy away from finesse types but in systems like ours where we rely on a guy like Portis to make quick cuts and outside runs we benefit from someone with quick feet. Hell thats how Denver has made a living with the running game through the Shannahan years.

Still I don't think Britton is a 2nd round OT. We'll be very lucky if we can trade back about 6 or 8 spots and get him. Either way he's possibly my new favorite at tackle.

Also for those of you hell bent on protecting our QB

Awareness - 1 - Elite in this category. Rarely misses assignment. Keeps head on swivel and recognizes stunts as well as blitzes.

"Eben Britton has played both offensive tackle positions and brings an exciting combination of speed, wingspan, strength and field intelligence. Pro scouts are likening his ability to the Cleveland Browns' Joe Thomas."

Re: Second Round OT Talent

Welcome to the Alex Mack fan club. He's the real deal and I would take him over any T (except maybe Jason Smith) the guy would be a starter right of the bat; at either C or G. I say pass on the T position for the later rounds or wait till next year. Here's another link with even more info on how he fared against the competition in a game by game basis. The guy is a stud.
