Unfortunately the Skins are part of that handful of teams. Most people outside of DC think the ownership is a joke and the team's performance since DS took over has done little to improve the Skins image as anything more than a six time NFL paper champion.

The really unfortunate part of this is how it continues to suck the life out of the fanbase. A lot of the guys I know that used to live and die with the Skins now barely seem interested. Sure they follow the team but nowhere near like they used to and it has to do almost entirely with the FO circus and lack of winning on the field. Its really sad.

Yeah it has nothing to do with there being infinite entertainment options, a largely transient surrounding area encompassing their geographical fan base and them getting older and having other things to worry about.

Actually, studies show that the DC area is no more transient than any other large city.

Look at the Caps, they were given up for dead and then they started winning like crazy and now its almost impossible to get a ticket. When the Skins get back to winning and doing it often the ticket will be hot again and other teams fans wont be able to over-run FedEx. Unfortunately I'm not sure this ownership is capable of doing that.

So maybe it is more a reflection of our fan base. GB doesn't always have good teams but you can't get tickets there. Cleveland is much the same.

Agreed. The perspective of so many "fans" is so skewed in my opinion.
