The ipod plays music but it also holds pictures/documents and you can play games and videos on it. It's just a mini hard drive with a screen. The iphone is closer to the everything device you're talking about. |

You can slam several videos on it, a bunch of music, etc. I know having an all in one device is sweet, but for the same reason as having a shuffle for the gym I'd want a slightly smaller device for music. Not to mention it's just going to wear the battery's charge and lifespan down if I use it for more than just a phone and for data. So I'd rather carry two devices, even if it took up an extra pocket/spot in my carry-on, etc |
