I don't know really. I was thinking that someone would run with it. The street camera thing gets me.

You could use the recent cigarette tax. Smokers were already getting their butts off the blackmarket but now it's even worst. Say for instance I went to N.C. and bought a crate of smokes. I could then go up to NY and sell those smokes at a huge profit. That's tax evasion. Since that transaction goes over State lines it becomes a Federal offense. The act in itself wasn't morally wrong from a purely capitalist standpoint. So how it's worthy of prison time for selling a product that's legal?

Here's another one. Say for instance I wanted to sell crack. If I got busted with an ounce of crack I'd be sentenced under Federal guidelines. Yet if I was a banker and got caught washing money for the Mexican sindicates I'd serve less time. Either that or I'd get whacked before I could testify. Who's doing more to damage society, the banker or the dealer?

Now I know there is a HUGE difference between what is legal and what is moral. My thinking is inclined to believe that a more moral society wouldn't need as many laws because, that said society would be less inclined to engage in criminal behaviour.
