Re: Braylon Edwards trade talk
A few Giants fans I have talked to hate this idea. They would be willing to give up half of their draft pick for Boldin, but don't want to give up much for Edwards. The biggest reason I have heard is Edwards wants a new deal NOW. He wants huge money and IMO thats just not smart. How can you justify a Fitzgerald type deal for the guy who dropped more passes than anyone else in the league? He has always had bad hands and a simple change of scenery isnt going to help that.

Re: Braylon Edwards trade talk
I agree we dont need Edwards . The Edwards is the only playmaker on the Browns roster, with no longer have K2. You would think the Browns would want to keep their best offensive player. If the Browns don't wont him there is no way the Redskins should trade for him. The Browns have to know more about him then any other team.

Don't we already have wideouts that drop the ball?

Why would we want Rod Gardner part II?

Re: Braylon Edwards trade talk
understood about the drops, but Edwards has much more burst & speed, more athletic & gets open downfield. If his drops are a matter of concentration & focus, then it can be corrected. On the other hand, if he's dropping a lot cause he's not that comfortable in traffic (M. Westbrook comes to mind), his habit is likely to continue.
I certainly don't want edwards, especially w/our situation, give the young guys a chance. but at the right price he could be a serious playmaker for the right team. Hope he doesn't end up in the nfc east. |

Re: Braylon Edwards trade talk
He's dropped balls his whole career going back to Michigan. Somehow I doubt it's something that's going to be corrected by switching teams. He just doesn't have reliable hands.

Yeah, Edwards could drop easy ones in the Big House on any given Saturday. He was a star for the Woverines, but that isn't saying much nowadays. Ever since Schembechler left that program has slowly slid downhill til what you got 2 years ago and the ASU debacle. I laughed my ass off on that one!!!!!!! Buckeye fans were calling that game the greatest Buckeye victory ever!!!! |

Re: Braylon Edwards trade talk
Edwards sucks monkey balls. A huge underachiever and disappointment for Cleveland, so why do you think it would do us any good in bringing him here? If we really wanted a WR we would have gone for Holt or Boldin. Mortgaging future draft picks even for them would be moronic with all the holes we have to plug, so why would we mortgage our future for the likes of Edwards?
