Re: Panthers Extend Quarterback who Isn't as Good as Jason Campbell
i saw the game. and remember the skins lost. making plays in losses doesn't count. and we are talking about the 49ers, right? Delhomme has been to the super bowl, right?im not saying the last couple of seasons were stellar. but some qbacks have the ability to make plays. im not sure Campbell does

Did you know the 0-16 Detroit lions scored more offensive points then the Redskins did last year? ok the O-Line wasnt great, but how good was Detroits O line? |

I like Campbell but I'm looking at more than one drive, you should too.

Yea and the O could only manage 24 points on that same lowly 49er's team but I'm sure that was not on JC at all because he racked up 156 passing yards and was hittin his mark with 18/30.

Re: Panthers Extend Quarterback who Isn't as Good as Jason Campbell
And I'm surprised that a debate even broke out since it's been four years since the last time Delhomme has been even an average player. He had a breakout year in '03, his team was ravaged by injury in '04, and his career year came in '05. But since then, he's been bad, injured, and bad respectively.
Campbell on the other hand, has been sitting, then meh, then good, then good+ in his four years. So yeah, I'd say that he's already a more accomplished passer than Delhomme right now. Even the very worst of Campbell has been better than anything Delhomme has done in the last three seasons. But Rex Grossman is a free agent if we want someone who has "been there" already. We don't need Campbell for that.

Man I am from Charlotte. Jake is terrible. Ever see a picture of Campbell in the newspaper throwing the ball with his eyes closed. Jake has numerous pictures of him throwing the ball with his eyes closed. He is laugh around these parts.

Re: Panthers Extend Quarterback who Isn't as Good as Jason Campbell
That's not spin, you pretty much made that very point whether you intended to or not. When an 0-16 team scores more points than an 8-8 team it simply shows there's much more to winning games than scoring points.

Re: Panthers Extend Quarterback who Isn't as Good as Jason Campbell
you understand my point....there were 2-3 teams in the league that scored less points then us out of 32....that means your offense is not that good. though the QB is not the only part of the offense by any stretch, he is the main part.
