Re: Super Bowl in London in 2014?

I think it's time the NFL build a SUPER BOWL STADIUM. Which ever state gets it, they can use it for their own purposes, but the sole existance of the stadium is to host the Super Bowl. The walls can have the history of the game, and no matter what, it will always be neutral and in the USA. I orginally thought that Hawaii should get it every year, but they already get the pro bowl, and their stadium is too small. I'd still go for this, but they need to renovate the stadium.

The NFL would never do that as it would eliminate the fact that cities bid millions of dollars to get the Super Bowl. Paying to build a stadium as well as loosing the bid money would hurt the league financially.

No it wouldn't, cause the LEAGUE would own the stadium, so every super bowl would bring in BIG bucks. I get that cities bid millions, and that is a good answer as to why not, but I would wager that the NFL would gain more money if they owned the stadium.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the revenue the NFL would get from other teams playing in their stadium throughout the year. (whether it be college, high school or whatever)

But then they couldn't rake in the future money (they think) by expanding the NFL overseas. Are you willing to build your Super Bowl Stadium in Paris?

They already tried that, it failed miserably. Don't you remember the NFL Europe?

What they need to do is have the SB in Hawaii, a neutral site, gorgeous weather. Sure the average fan will have trouble seeing it, but the average fan is going to be priced out of seeing a team's home games by 2014.

Place it right in the center of the country, in Kansas.

LOL...the actual center of the USA is near a town called Lebanon. Hey, that's sounds international.
